According to Tim Peterson, Third Door Media's Social Media Reporter, in an article on Marketing Land, "the social network is testing a way for developers to produce web-based VR experiences that people can interact with through posts in Facebook’s News Feed, a Facebook spokesperson confirmed on Friday."
Since 2014, when Facebook acquired Oculus, they've been working at connecting the traditional 2D social network and the 3D world of virtual reality. Facebook is testing VR in its news feed in Facebook Spaces. Here is the full article
