In her book, Invisible Women: Data Bias in a World Designed for Men, Caroline Criado Perez, outlines an amazing array of ways that the world has an inbuilt biases against women. Everything from the snow plough routes to more critical health related information, female toilet numbers to using Siri. It is mind boggling to pause and recognise the depth and extent of the problem.
Her new book outlines many instances and acts as a guide to industry and government to rethink there decisions. I hope that it is widely circulated and read. The world for my daughter, and your daughter or granddaughters needs to give them a fair chance.
